Moving Lights
Moving Lights are automated or robotic fixtures that are used on TV shows, concerts and live events. This technology is used to enhance a show and add extra vibrancy to the performance. The lighting operator via the lighting desk can directly change the position of the light, make it change colour, change a beam effect such as a gobo (image).
These fixtures typically use a bright lamp source to allow the effects to highlight any performer of set piece. Moving lights require a lighting controller such as ChamSys Magic Q (see Lighting Control).
