Fresnel
Pronounced frenel (silent s), this flood or wash light is used to give greater coverage of light to a performance area. The fixture can be adjusted using barn doors (shapers) to control the spill of the light onto an area. A coloured gel can also be added to give colour variation the output of the light. (This style of light typically is controlled via a dimmer rack).
