Follow Spots
Many musicals and shows often rely upon a roving spotlight to follow a performer. This is known as a follow spot. The follow spot is situated at the rear of a room where an operator controls (points) the light at the performer and follows them as they move around the stage. Great for highlighting a lead performer of soloist.
